Hello World: 2009

The Spirit of 2009

2009 marks the 4th year of my journey in weight loss.

To be truthful, it's still hard to swallow the new reality that I am no longer a 363 lbs (165 kg) young lad. I am truly proud with what I have accomplished.

Even so, my journey in weight loss is still far from complete. It's not over yet as my ultimate goal is to reach 65 kg (143 lbs).

2008 was the year I slowed down my weight loss. It was the year to exercise my skills in weight maintenance. Why? Because weight maintenance is a much more difficult task than weight loss itself.

I believe I did well in maintaining my weight in year 2008. My weight did jump drastically at one point but it was mostly due to water retention. I managed to maintain my weight at 86 kg (189.2 lbs) throughout the whole year. So a gold star for myself.

The year 2009 shall be the new starting point of my weight loss journey. It is time for me to step into a new level. The time to strive for 65 kg (143 lbs) has arrived.

But don't get me wrong as I am not planning to lose weight in a big rush. I have 21 kg (46.2 lbs) of fat that needs to be removed from my body and I have a whole year to work it out. Therefore I will do it nice and steady as I have previously done before.

The Future of Stem & Root

It will stay alive as long as there is no super volcano eruption.

But really, my blog will continue to move on to record my journey as a young man who is trying to lose weight. I will also continue to share the story of my life with everyone.

The layout as well as the design of this blog will remain the same. I will probably change it in the future but it will stay as it is for now.

The Future of Yours Truly

2008 was full with surprises that I did not expect.

My life continues to evolve as time goes by. Losing weight has opened new multiple doors for me. It gives me a new meaning of life. I'm seeing this world that we are living upon in a new spectrum.

I have my second chance to live the life that I didn't get to experience. As a result, I'm living my life to the fullest now.

I don't know what is waiting for me in year 2009. But I'm ready to experience what I have never experienced before.

Losing weight has opened new multiple doors for me.
