Caught in a Tangled Web - Part 2The bridegroom called me few days later (or was it weeks?). I was a bit nervous. He spoke to me very nicely. Gentleman like.
"Mr. JJ can I see you tonight? I need to discuss with you regarding to the wedding video" Not the exact quote but it was something like that.
"Uh...okay. " Just please don't hurt me.
So we settled on a location, which was at a small restaurant not far from my house. Just 3 minutes from my house actually. The reason? The bridegroom found out that I do not know how to drive. Thus he did not want to create any hassle for me to find a transportation at night. That was really thoughtful of him.
The bridegroom came along with the bride and their baby daughter.
He shook my hand and smiled. "Mr. JJ?"
"Just call me JJ."
We had a long conversation. They told me their story and I filled them with anything that was necessary.
So the whole story went like this.
The couple hired Mr. A to do photography and video shooting for their wedding event on year 2006. They have received their wedding photos. But not their wedding video.
Those wedding VCDs? They were promised a DVD but they were given VCDs instead. Mr. A made an excuse to them by saying "Oh, this VCDs are just for trial. I will give you a DVD later."
Mr. A took back those wedding VCDs after that.
Unfortunately Mr. A didn't give them a wedding DVD at all. He just disappeared into thin air for almost a year without any kind of update. Basically the wedding couple paid around 1600 bucks to Mr. A for nothing.
The bridegroom was really frustrated, which eventually led him to hunt down for Mr. A on year 2007.
Mr. A panicked.
To make it worse for Mr. A, the original video editor of those wedding VCDs has disappeared with no new contact number whatsoever.
So his last option was to find another video editor - Me. Bummer.
To be continued in Part 3. (It really is a long story)
The wedding couple paid around 1600 bucks to Mr. A for nothing.
Truthfully,
JJ
